Dear Saint Charles Residents,
Come join the fun and festivities of the New Town Triathlon hosted by Big Shark Events on July 13th and 14th! This exciting event promises a weekend full of action and community spirit.
Saturday, July 13th:
- Kids Triathlon from 9:00am to 11:00am
The youngest athletes will kick off the weekend with a spirited competition, showcasing their determination and enthusiasm. It’s a wonderful opportunity for families to cheer on the kids and enjoy a morning of energetic fun.
Sunday, July 14th:
- Adult Triathlon from 7:30am to 12:00pm
This event will attract over 600 competitive athletes from around the region, bringing a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere to our community. The triathlon begins at 7:30 AM and wraps up by 12:00 PM, with the bike portion of the race taking place from approximately 7:45 AM to 10:45 AM.
The bike race route is detailed on the attachment. If you’re traveling along the bike course during these times, please be patient. Saint Charles Police with squad cars and Event Course Marshals in bright colored shirts with orange flags will be stationed at key intersections to ensure timely access for motorists as well as the participants’ safety (positions indicated on the map).
Most roads will be open to cross traffic throughout the event. We ask that you allow our course marshals to assist you with access while the event is underway.
